FIELD: optical-acoustic spectroscopy.
SUBSTANCE: resonant differential optical-acoustic detector (OAD) includes two cylindrical acoustic resonators interconnected by two cylindrical buffer chambers, optically transparent windows on the outer sides of the buffer chambers, located so that the laser radiation passes through one of the acoustic resonators, as well as two microphones, located in the middle of each of the acoustic resonators. The distance between the acoustic resonators is 4-9 mm, the radius of the acoustic resonators is 10-24 mm, the length of the acoustic resonators is 7.5-54 mm. The radius of the buffer chambers exceeds the radius of the acoustic resonators by 2.22-2.7 times, and the ratio of the length of the buffer chambers to the length of the acoustic resonators is in the range of 0.46-9.
EFFECT: increase in the sensitivity of the OAD by increasing its quality factor.
