FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns the composition and method for producing instant dosage forms of metronidazole. The claimed method allows introducing metronidazole slightly soluble in water, into effervescent dosage forms (granules and tablets), which form a clear solution with a pH of 6.0±0.5 upon dissolution containing 250 mg of metronidazole in dissolved form. The increase in release occurs due to the formation of a solid dispersion of metronidazole with polyvinylpyrrolidone, which provides better release of metronidazole due to solubilization, increasing its solubility, dissolution rate and obtaining colloidal solutions of the drug substance.
EFFECT: composition and method of obtaining such a composition are described.
