METHOD OF PREDICTION OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INSUFFICIENCY IN PATIENTS WITH INHALATION INJURY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N33/68

Abstract RU 2798061 C1

FIELD: medicine, combustiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict acute respiratory failure (ARF) in patients with inhalation injury and airway burns on the first day of admission to a hospital. The levels of leukocytosis, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in venous blood are determined. When receiving leukocytes from 10.7×10*9/l and above, the level of C-reactive protein from 37.7 mg/l and above, the level of procalcitonin from 0.4 ng/ml and above, a high risk of developing ARF in patients corresponding to 75% or more is predicted.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining more accurate and objective data in predicting the development of ARF in patients with inhalation injury from the first hours of admission to the hospital by determining the number of leukocytes, levels of C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in venous blood.
