FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method for prediction of the burn disease outcome in the patients with severe thermal trauma involves venous blood sampling in the patient on the first day after the trauma before anticoagulant therapy to obtain platelet-free plasma, followed by measurement of stationary clot growth rate Vst (mcm/min), clot density D (standard units) and determination of coefficient K by formula K=(Vst×100)/D, when obtaining value K<0.025 predicting an unfavorable outcome on 1-3 day, when obtaining value K>0.25, unfavorable outcome is predicted from 4 to 10 days, when obtaining the value of K=0.1-0.2, favorable outcome is predicted in the patients suffering a thermal injury.
EFFECT: invention provides more accurate prediction of the unfavorable outcome of the burn disease in the patients with a severe burn injury, starting from the period of burn shock.
