FIELD: measuring techniques.

SUBSTANCE: used to determine the dew point temperature of water in the quality control of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG). The method for determining the dew point temperature for water in LPG is that a sample of LPG is taken, the mass of the sample is determined. Coulometric titration as per Karl Fischer determines the water content in the sample. Calculate the mass fraction of water in the LPG sample. Determine the value of the solubility of water in LPG at different temperatures. Plot a graph of the dependence of the solubility of water in LPG on temperature. The value of water solubility in LPG is plotted along the ordinate axis, and the temperature value is plotted along the abscissa axis, and the ordinate is also plotted on the ordinate axis, numerically corresponding to the calculated value of the mass fraction of water in the LPG sample. Then, at the intersection of the value of the mentioned ordinate and the graph of the dependence of the solubility of water in LPG on temperature, the corresponding abscissa is found, the value of which corresponds to the dew point temperature for water in LPG.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of LPG quality control.
