FIELD: aerosol generating device.
SUBSTANCE: aerosol generating device comprises at least two heating units. Each heating unit contains a heating coil, a first contact, a second contact and a third contact. The first contact is located in contact with the distal end of the heating coil. The second contact is located in contact with the proximal end of the heating coil. The third contact is located in contact with the heating coil between the first contact and the second contact. The aerosol generating device further comprises a slider assembly. The heating coils of the heating units are arranged in a row parallel to the longitudinal axis of the aerosol generating device. The slider assembly is located adjacent to the heating coils and is slidable parallel to the longitudinal axis of the aerosol generating device and parallel to the heating coils. The third contacts of the heating units are fixed on the slide unit. It is possible to adjust the point of electrical contact between every third contact and the corresponding heating coil by moving the slider assembly.
EFFECT: present invention further relates to a system comprising an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating article comprising an aerosol generating substrate.
