FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry, in hydrogen power engineering for production of hydrogen, in oil and gas industry for utilization of natural and associated gas of oil production. Device for producing hydrogen by direct pyrolysis of natural gas comprises a reactor with an input of natural gas and output of pyrolysis products. Reactor housing is a metal cylinder, along the axis of which there is a chamber with a heat carrier made in the form of a high-temperature radiotransparent pipe with a gas-tight plug in its lower section, which is filled with carbon finely dispersed material. In the upper part of the reactor housing there is a nozzle for supply of converted gas to the reactor. Carbon collector with a branch pipe for outlet of hydrogen and unreacted natural gas from the reactor is connected to the bottom of the reactor. In the upper part of the chamber there is a device for removal of the formed carbon material in the form of a screw spiral. Between the lower part of the reactor and the carbon collector there is a metal plate with sector-shaped holes to provide for the carbon outlet from the reactor into the carbon collector. Reactor in the upper part through the radio-transparent washer is connected to a microwave energy (MW) input system in the form of a waveguide-coaxial junction (WCJ), which is connected by one of its waveguide outputs through a radio-transparent window, a waveguide and a ferrite valve with a microwave energy source - a magnetron, and the other waveguide output through a radio-transparent window and a waveguide with a movable short-circuiting piston for setting the operating mode of the microwave generator. Also disclosed is a method of producing hydrogen.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to increase efficiency of hydrogen production due to simplification of pyrolysis process, to reduce costs for hydrogen production.
