FIELD: aerosol generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system containing the said aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating article containing an aerosol generating substrate. The aerosol generating device comprises a first casing part and a second casing part. The first part of the casing contains a cavity for receiving an aerosol generating article containing an aerosol generating substrate. The first part of the casing and the second part of the casing are arranged in the first position, in which the first part of the casing is extended relative to the second part of the casing and in which the said cavity is available for insertion of the aerosol generating article, and the first part of the casing and the second part of the casing are made with the possibility of being placed in the second position, in which the second part of the casing is retracted at least partially into the specified cavity. An aerosol generating device is used in an aerosol generating system comprising an additional aerosol generating article containing an aerosol generating substrate.
EFFECT: prevention of damage and contamination of the cavity for receiving an aerosol generating product.
