FIELD: aerosol-generating device.
SUBSTANCE: aerosol-generating device comprises a cavity for receiving an aerosol-generating device containing an aerosol-forming substrate; a first air inlet fluidly connected to the said cavity and allowing ambient air to be drawn into the said cavity; and a second air inlet fluidly connected to the said cavity and allowing ambient air to be drawn into the said cavity. The aerosol-generating device also comprises airflow control means for controlling one or both of the airflows through the first air inlet and the second air inlet. The airflow control means is configured to control the cross-sectional area of one or both of the first air inlet and the second air inlet. Means for regulating the airflow are made in the form of a perforated element. Each perforation hole of the perforated element corresponds to a different cross-sectional area. The perforated element contains a first set of perforations and a second set of perforations. The first set of perforations corresponds to the first air inlet, and the second set of perforations corresponds to the second air inlet.
EFFECT: possibility of improving aerosol generation.
