SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, namely to an aerosol-generating device, an aerosol-generating system, and a method for controlling the aerosol-generating device. Aerosol-generating device comprises an induction heating system configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate and including current collector system, which is made with possibility of heating under action of penetrating variable magnetic field for heating of aerosol-forming substrate. Induction heating system includes at least the first inductance coil, at least the second inductance coil and controller. Controller is configured to excite the first inductance coil using the first alternating signal with pulse width modulation to generate the first alternating magnetic field for heating the first part of the current collector system. Controller is also configured to excite the second inductance coil using the second alternating signal with pulse width modulation to generate the second alternating magnetic field for heating the second part of the current collector system. Controller is configured to supply a first alternating pulse-width modulated signal and a second alternating pulse-width modulated signal with complementary duty cycles.

EFFECT: providing optimum heating of various aerosol-forming substrates.
