SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a vaporizer and to a method for aerosol formation. The vaporizer contains a resistive heating element, a circuit made with the possibility of adjustment of supply of electrical energy to the resistive heating element from a power supply source. The resistive heating element is made with the possibility of supply of heat to evaporated material to cause evaporation of evaporated material into an airflow for the formation of carried away aerosol. The vaporizer also contains a controller made with the possibility of implementation of operations containing reception of input signals characterizing supply of energy to the resistive heating element, a temperature of the resistive heating element, and a speed of an airflow flowing around the resistive heating element. The received input signal characterizing the speed of the airflow flowing around the resistive heating element is determined based on at least one or more measured characteristics characterizing resistance to the airflow of the vaporizer. Operations additionally contain prediction, using received input signals, of a value of evaporation of evaporated material on the resistive heating element and adjustment of supply of energy to the resistive heating element in accordance with the predicted value of evaporation of evaporated material. Adjustment includes an increase or a decrease in instant supply of energy to the heating element in such a way that target output amount of aerosol is formed.
