FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for preserving the totality of pollen grains involves mixing pollen grains with at least one substance that prevents the effect of dead pollen grains on live pollen grains, while said substance that prevents the effect of dead pollen grains on live pollen grains is selected from the group containing lactose or a mixture of lactose with silicon-containing material brand Sipernat® 50, or Sipernat® 22S, or Sipernat® 340, or Sipernat® 350, or Perkasil® SM660, or Aerosil® 200, and the pollen grains with at least one said substance that prevents the impact of dead pollen grains to live pollen grains. The moisture content of the pollen is maintained between 15 and 60%. The ratio of said at least one substance that prevents dead pollen grains from affecting live pollen grains to pollen grains is at least 1:1 or 3:1.
EFFECT: proposed method for ensuring the preservation of pollen provides for the prevention of contacts between dead pollen material and live pollen grains, which significantly prolongs the viability of pollen, prevents its clumping, and reduces hygroscopic properties.
