FIELD: powder metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of composite metal materials. It can be used to obtain light and durable products that are used as various structural elements. To obtain an aluminium-titanium composite material, a frame made of continuous titanium fibre obtained by the method of high-speed solidification of the melt is impregnated with an aqueous suspension, which was prepared from an aluminium matrix powder with a lamellar particle shape at a ratio of the mass of water to the mass of aluminium powder from 2.6:1 to 5.0:1. The resulting product is dried in air at a temperature of 20-60°C to zero humidity, then a powder blank was pressed from it under a pressure of 800-1000 MPa with a holding time under pressure for 10-30 s, and the powder blank was sintered in vacuum at a temperature of 550-650°C for 15-60 min.

EFFECT: increased strength and crack resistance of the composite material.
