SUBSTANCE: three-port technology is used using an ophthalmic cannula with BSS balanced salt solution and sterile air supplied to the vitreal cavity. At the same time, at the end of the operation, the vitreal cavity is 3/4 filled with BSS solution and 1/4 with sterile air.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to prevent possible intravitreal bleeding in the early postoperative period after the removal of silicone oil from the vitreal cavity, and to reduce the time of rehabilitation of patients.
