TREATMENT OF ALLERGIC RHINITIS USING A COMBINATION OF MOMETASONE AND OLOPATADIN Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61K31/573 A61P11/02 

FIELD: medicine; allergology and otorhinolaryngology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and/or nasal symptoms associated with it. A method of treating allergic rhinitis and/or associated nasal symptoms in a person requiring the said treatment comprises nasal administering of an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition containing mometasone furoate and olopatadine or a salt thereof. The composition is administered nasally as 1 or 2 injections into each nostril of the said person at least once a day, each injection contains mometasone furoate and olopatadine or its salt in a mass ratio of 1:12 to 1:53 based on the equivalent weight of the free base of olopatadine. The said mometasone furoate is presented in the form of particles, and olopatadine or its salt are presented in dissolved form. The said administration provides relief of one or more symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis faster than nasal administration of two sprays of 665 μg of olopatadine hydrochloride alone twice daily. The use of the said pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in a patient requiring the said treatment is provided.

EFFECT: acceleration of the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and/or nasal symptoms associated with it in a patient requiring the said treatment, and, accordingly, increasing the effectiveness of treatment.
