FIELD: composite adsorbents.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composite adsorbent with a core-shell structure for use in the separation of bulk gases in a cyclic adsorption process. The composite contains: from about 65 to 95 vol.% Of an absorbent shell and an inert core with a porosity of from 0% to less than or equal to 10%. In this case, the average volume fraction of the core in the adsorbent is in the range from about 5 to about 35%, and the specified inert core has a volumetric heat capacity higher than 1 J/cm3/K. The invention also relates to a cyclic gas separation process for separating at least two gaseous components having different adsorption characteristics.
EFFECT: proposed invention allows increasing the working capacity of the adsorbent.
