METHOD OF PREDICTION OF DISEASE OUTCOMES IN PATIENTS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY OF VARIOUS SEVERITY (ITS VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2799834 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to determine the prognosis of disease outcomes in patients with brain concussion, mild, moderate and severe brain contusion. The concentration of subpopulations of type 2 T-helpers (Th2) and the concentration of myelin basic protein (MBP) in the cerebrospinal fluid after a lumbar puncture or the concentration of subpopulations of type 17 T-helpers (Th17) and "naive" T-helpers (Naive Th) in the peripheral blood are estimated in the peripheral blood within 1 day from the time of injury in patients with mild, moderate and severe traumatic brain injury, followed by a prognosis of the outcome of the disease, which is calculated by the formula.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher accuracy prediction of the outcome of a head injury, regardless of severity, and the possibility of choosing or adjusting intensive therapy by determining neuroinflammation in the brain, reducing the overall immune status and developing cell-humoral neurosensitization by evaluating the totality of the most significant indicators.
