SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the development of pyoinflammatory complications in patients with traumatic brain injury of various degrees of severity. The concentration of interleukin 6 cytokines and the soluble form of CD40 ligand in the cerebrospinal fluid is measured on the first day of the acute period of the disease, followed by the calculation of the indicator of the prognostic model for the development of pyoinflammatory complications P, calculated by the formula. Moreover, if P is greater than or equal to 0.50, the development of purulent-inflammatory complications is predicted, and if P is less than 0.50, the development of purulent-inflammatory complications is unlikely.
EFFECT: method provides high accuracy in predicting the development of purulent-inflammatory complications in the acute period of TBI and allows to optimize therapy and patient management tactics by additionally determining the activity of the concentration of cytokines: interleukin 6 and the soluble form of the CD40 ligand in the cerebrospinal fluid.
