METHOD OF PREDICTION OF COGNITIVE DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH BRAIN CONCUSION AND MINOR BRAIN INJURY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2803276 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to predict the development of cognitive impairment in patients with concussion and mild brain contusion. The determination of laboratory indicators of type 1 T-helpers in peripheral blood, the soluble form of the CD40 ligand and IFNγ-inducible protein 10 in cerebrospinal fluid is performed. Based on the obtained indicators, the probability of development (P) of cognitive impairments is determined according to a given formula, and when P is greater than or equal to 0.50, the development of cognitive impairments is predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to prevent the formation of new neurological syndromes in the early and late periods after a traumatic brain injury and to optimize ongoing drug therapy by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
