METHOD OF PREDICTION OF THE OUTCOME OF SEPSIS USING THE DETERMINATION OF THE ABSOLUTE NUMBER OF NEUTROPHILIC EXTRACELLULAR TRAPS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N1/30 G06M11/00

Abstract RU 2799863 C1

FIELD: medicine; clinical laboratory diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the outcome of sepsis. On the 3rd day of the disease, the absolute number of extracellular traps formed by neutrophilic granulocytes in peripheral blood is determined. When the level of the absolute number of extracellular traps is equal to or more than 2.808×109/l, the death of sepsis is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides fast and affordable, more accurate, highly sensitive and specific prognosis of sepsis outcome in patients by determining the absolute number of neutrophil extracellular traps on the 3rd day of the disease.
