FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to resuscitation and rehabilitation, and can be used to predict the risk of an unfavourable outcome in a chronic critical condition complicated by pneumonia. Determining the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte count (NLC) per unit volume. DNA is recovered from peripheral venous blood. A variant rs1058427 of the AQP4 gene is determined. If the genotype GG rs1058427 and the NLC value are more than 4, a high risk of an unfavourable outcome in the patient is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables predicting the risk of an unfavourable outcome in a chronic critical condition, including as a result of cerebral accidents, complicated by pneumonia, by determining a cellular marker NLC and a molecular marker – a variant rs1058427 of the AQP4 gene.
