SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement technology, namely to the isolation of a useful signal from an input signal containing a useful signal and an interference signal in various signal filtering systems under conditions of a priori uncertainty. The technical result is an increase in the efficiency of isolating a useful signal from an input signal containing a useful signal and an interference signal that are in the same frequency range by reducing or completely eliminating distortion of the shape of the useful signal simultaneously with an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio. The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that in the method of extracting a useful signal from an input signal containing a useful signal and an interference signal, a direct Fourier transform of the interference signal is performed and its amplitude spectrum is calculated, at the same time a direct Fourier transform of the input signal is performed and its phase spectrum is calculated, an inverse Fourier transform is performed based on the obtained amplitude spectrum of the signal interference and the phase spectrum of the input signal, which results in a correction signal that is subtracted from the input signal. By replacing the original phase spectrum of the interference signal with the phase spectrum of the input signal, the spectrum of the interference signal is adjusted to match the spectrum of the input signal. Due to this circumstance, the subsequent subtraction of the received correction signal from the input signal provides an effective reduction or complete elimination of distortion of the shape of the useful signal simultaneously with an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio.
