FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for isolating a useful signal from an input signal containing both a useful signal and noise, and can be used in various signal filtering systems under conditions of a priori uncertainty. A method for isolating a useful component from an input signal that implements a random process, containing a useful component and noise, additionally provides for using as a correction signal a fragment of the input signal corresponding in the time domain to the same fragment of the correction signal, the trajectory of which does not intersect with the average input signal level.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of isolating the useful component from an input signal containing the useful component and noise, which are in the same frequency range, by reducing or completely eliminating the distortion of the form of the useful component, achieving a lower nonlinear distortion coefficient while simultaneously increasing the ratio signal/noise
