FIELD: ecology, environmental management and landscape design.
SUBSTANCE: method includes a comprehensive assessment of the stability of the dendrological collection of the botanical garden by calculating bioecological indicators in points. The total score for all indicators is an integral numerical expression. Bioecological indicators are calculated: the share of plant species from other regions, the average age of plantations in the dendro collection, the share of single taxa, as well as the share of drought-resistant and winter-hardy plants in the botanical garden plant collections. Each bioecological indicator is evaluated in points, where one point corresponds to the following values of bioecological indicators: more than 40% of the indicator - the proportion of species from other regions; more than 100 years of the indicator - the average age of plantings in the dendro collection; more than 40% of the indicator - the share of single taxa; less than 50% of the indicator - the share of winter-hardy species in the collection; less than 50% of the indicator - the share of drought-resistant species in the collection. Two points correspond to: 31-40% of the indicator - the share of species from other regions; 81-100 years of the indicator - the average age of plantations in dendro collections; 31-40% of the indicator - the share of single taxa; 50-60% of the indicator - the share of winter-hardy species in the collection; 50-60% of the indicator - the share of drought-resistant species in the collection. Three points correspond to: 21-30% of the indicator - the share of species from other regions; 61-80 years of the indicator - the average age of plantings in the dendro collection; 21-30% of the indicator - the share of single taxa; 61-70% of the indicator - the share of winter-hardy species in the collection; 61-70% of the indicator - the share of drought-resistant species in the collection. Four points correspond to: 11-20% of the indicator - the share of species from other regions; 31-60 years of the indicator - the average age of plantings in the arboretum; 11-20% of the indicator - the share of single taxa; 71-80% of the indicator - the share of winter-hardy species in the collection; 71-80% of the indicator - the share of drought-resistant species in the collection. Five points correspond to the values of bioecological indicators: 5-10% of the indicator - the share of species from other regions; 10-30 years of the indicator - the average age of plantations in dendro collections; 0-10% of the indicator - the share of single taxa; more than 80% of the indicator - the share of winter-hardy species in the collection; more than 80% of the indicator - the share of drought-resistant species in the collection. After that, the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection in the current state and after the implementation of measures to change it is calculated by summing the scores for all bioecological indicators: the proportion of plant species from other regions, the average age of plantations in the dendro collection, the proportion of single taxa, as well as the proportion of drought-resistant and winter-hardy plants in the collections of plants of the botanical garden. An assessment is made for the level of sustainability of the dendro collections of the botanical garden on a scale where the level of sustainability of the dendro collection is considered vulnerable when the value of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection is less than 10 points; low for the value of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection ranging from 11 to 15 points; medium for the value of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection ranging from 16 to 20 points; high for the value of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection ranging from 20 to 25 points. A comparison is made of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection in the current state and after the implementation of measures to change it, where an increase in the value of the integral indicator of the ecological sustainability of the dendro collection after measures to change it is a sign of an increase in the sustainability of the dendro collection during the development of the botanical garden, otherwise a decrease in the sustainability of the dendro collection, and measures to change the dendro collection are not recognized as possible.
EFFECT: modelling of the predicted state of dendro collections with high accuracy, simplification of the choice of models for the development of dendrological collections according to the integral score indicator of the ecological sustainability of dendrocollections.
