SUBSTANCE: following is proposed: a composition for the treatment of a gastrointestinal disorder containing as an active ingredient at least 98% of Bifidobacterium bifidum DSM 24514 non-viable bacteria, a method of treating a gastrointestinal disorder, including the introduction of the claimed composition, and the use of at least 98% of Bifidobacterium bifidum DSM 24514 non-viable bacteria for the production of a pharmaceutical composition.
EFFECT: inventions provide an expansion of the arsenal of agents for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders — irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and Crohn's disease.
