FIELD: bone-replacing materials for implantation and prosthetics.
SUBSTANCE: two-phase calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite (PCA/HAP) bone-substituting material including a core of sintered PCA and a continuous epitaxially grown layer of nanocrystalline HA located on the outer surface of the core of sintered PCA, and the epitaxially grown nanocrystals have the same size and morphology as the bone mineral human, where a continuous epitaxially grown layer of nanocrystalline HA, located on the surface of the core material of sintered PCA, has a uniform rough outer surface, including flat crystalline plates. Also a putty containing granules of a two-phase calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite (HAP/HAP) bone substitute material, a method of producing a PCA/HAP bone substitute material, as well as an implant and a prosthesis, including a two-phase calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite (HAP) bone substitute material are disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides enhanced osteogenic differentiation of human embryonic mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) which is a reliable indication of an enhanced osteogenic response in vivo.
