COLLAGEN MATRIX OR GRANULAR MIXTURE OF BONE SUBSTITUTE MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61L27/12 A61L27/24 A61L27/46 A61L27/48 A61L31/12

Abstract RU 2822395 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a collagen matrix for use as a bone-replacing material, containing collagen and particles of a two-phase bone-replacing material, that is calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite (CPh/HAP), which includes a sintered CPh nucleus and a closed epitaxically grown layer of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite deposited on the outer surface of the sintered CPh core, as a result of which the epitaxically grown nanocrystals have the same size and morphology as the human bone mineral, wherein the closed epitaxically grown layer of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite deposited on the outer surface of the sintered CPh core has a uniform rough outer surface, including flat crystalline plates, wherein the collagen matrix contains 60–97 wt.% of bone-replacing material and 3–40 wt.% of collagen, also relates to a method of producing a collagen matrix for use as a mastic, involving dispersion of collagen fibers of native collagen with natural cross-links in an acidic solution at pH from 2 to 5 so as to obtain a collagen suspension, mixing and homogenising said collagen suspension with particles of said two-phase bone-replacing material CPh/HAP, for example, to obtain a collagen/CPh/HAP suspension, freeze drying and sterilization of said suspension using gamma or X-ray irradiation or treatment with ethylene oxide, wherein the collagen matrix contains 60–97 wt.% of bone-replacing material and 3–40 wt.% of collagen, also refers to a granular mixture for use as a bone-replacing material.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides developing a mastic with suitable processing properties, containing particles or granules of bone-replacing material CPh/HAP in a collagen matrix.
