FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in dentistry to determine the force of pressure of the muscles of the tongue on the dentition of the upper and lower jaws. The method of measuring the pressure force of the muscles of the tongue on the dentition is as follows: a mouthpiece is introduced into the patient's oral cavity, the said mouthpiece has an internal cavity connected by means of a hollow tube and the outlet channel of the mouthpiece with a sensitive element of the pressure sensor, powered by a battery and connected to the controller with a cable. Leaving the hollow tube outside the oral cavity, the jaws are closed until the mouthpiece is compressed by the teeth of the upper and lower rows. The tongue affects the air in the internal cavity of the mouthpiece. By changing the pressure in the internal cavity, the pressure that changes during muscle maneuvers is measured using a pressure sensor. The pressure sensor signal is transmitted to the controller, programmed to smooth and reduce the flow of digitized data. The processed data from the controller is transmitted in real time via a serial interface to a computer for processing, storing data and visualizing ongoing processes.
EFFECT: technical result is to simplify the studies of tongue myotonometry and enhance their quality.
