SUBSTANCE: in he method of making a slide using laser engraving, a glass blank is made, an image is prepared for transfer to a glass blank, a laser machine is set up, an image is applied to the glass blank, glass blanks are glued to the printed image and the colour layers in such a way that the alignment marks on the glass blanks coincide in all the layers. Setting up the laser machine with an emitter power of 3 W for a wavelength of 355 nm and 10-20 W for a wavelength of 1064 nm consists in setting up the software complex for controlling the movement of the laser beam with a speed of moving the laser beam of 100 and 10 mm/s, software shortening of pixel length by 0.008 mm and by 0.1 mm, with a frequency of 80 MHz and 20 MHz and a pulse duration of 25-30 ms and 4 ms, respectively.

EFFECT: improved quality of manufacturing of a slide for a gobo projector.
