SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elements for the manufacture of personal protective equipment in the form of body armour against small arms and shrapnel. The ceramic-composite armoured panel comprises an outer shell made of reinforcing fabric, inside of which there is a protective ceramic layer connected to the outer shell. The ceramic layer is a field of rectangular ceramic tiles placed with each subsequent row shifted by half the width of the ceramic tiles of the previous row, with the outer edges of the reinforcing fabric being turned under the edges of the ceramic layer. On the back side of the ceramic layer, the underlayment of the reinforcing fabric sheet does not close the joints of the ceramic tiles. All ceramic tiles are bonded to each other with glue poured into the joints. On the back side of the ceramic layer there is a grid holding the adhesive in its cells. A polymer edging is made along the perimeter of the armoured panel.
