FIELD: waste disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing iron phosphate from iron-containing waste. In the method for producing iron phosphate, a solution of a mixture comprising ferric chloride is obtained as a result of acidolysis of iron-containing waste with hydrochloric acid. Then the pH of the specified solution is brought to 0<pH≤2 and the concentration of Fe3+ to 10-80 g/l with an alkaline compound and water to obtain a solution of the iron source. The obtained solution of the iron source is mixed with a solution of calcium dihydrogen phosphate at a molar ratio of P to Fe equal to 1:1-1.8 to obtain a thick suspension with a pH value of 0.2-2. The thick suspension is aged and crystallized to produce iron phosphate.
EFFECT: obtaining iron phosphate with a lower content of impurities and better morphology.
