FIELD: transmission and reception of signals in a communication system.
SUBSTANCE: communication device receives a physical downlink control channel PDCCH indicating a frequency band included in a carrier and applicable for transmission between a communication device and a scheduling device, and a slot format indicating a sequence of symbol types based on which to perform transmission on a plurality of symbols included per slot in the frequency band, the symbol types including at least one of an uplink symbol type, a downlink symbol type, and a soft symbol type. The frequency range and slot format are determined based on the received PDCCH, the PDCCH containing a first field indicating the frequency range and a second field indicating the slot format. The first field is a bitmap containing a plurality of bits corresponding to the plurality of bands included in the carrier and including the specified frequency band. The bitmap indicates the applicability or inapplicability of a range of the plurality of ranges for transmission.
EFFECT: flexible allocation of resources in an unlicensed carrier.
