FIELD: coke production.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for producing a coal mixture and to a method for producing coke from said coal mixture. The method is carried out by mixing several grades of coal to obtain a coal mixture, including the following: it is believed that the surface tension of coal, assuming that the inert component is 100% by volume, is γ100, and it is believed that the surface tension of the coal, assuming that the reactive component is 100% vol., is γ0, the range γ0 is defined for different grades of coal; among coal grades 1, 2, … i, … and n, mixed into a coal mixture, coal i is defined, in which γ100 is out of range γ0 ; TI of coal i is measured; the proportion in the mixture of coal i is determined so that w calculated according to the formula (1) below is 20.4% wt. or less, and several grades of coal are mixed in accordance with the specified proportion in the mixture, w =Σ (xi× TIi)⋅⋅⋅ (1), where in the formula (1) xi represents the proportion in the mixture (% wt.) of coal i, TIi represents the proportion (% vol.) of the inert component contained in coal i, and w represents the mass fraction (% wt.) of the inert coal component out of range γ0 in coal mixture.
