SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to coal mixtures and use thereof. Described is method for producing a coal mixture, including mixing multiple coals, wherein the following formula (1) and formula (2) are satisfied:

αcalc≤1,2×10-10 (mol/g of coal) (2); wherein, in formula (1) and formula (2), αcalc represents the hydrogen ion releasing capacity per unit mass (mol/g of coal) for the coal mixture, αi represents the hydrogen ion releasing capacity per unit mass (mol/g of coal) for coal i, xi represents the fraction in the mixture for coal i admixed with the coal mixture, and N represents the total number of coal brands contained in the coal mixture, wherein the hydrogen ion releasing capacity per unit mass for the coal is calculated by dividing the product of the concentration of hydrogen ions, calculated from the pH value for the water wherein each of the coals is submerged and the volume of water wherein the coal is submerged, by the mass of each of the corresponding coals. Described is a method for producing coke, including: loading the coal mixture produced using the above method for producing a coal mixture into the coke chamber of a coke oven and coking the coal mixture to produce coke.
EFFECT: suppressed reduction in the fluidity of coal.
