FIELD: chemical-thermal treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the nitriding of steels, and can be used in mechanical engineering, instrumentation and other industries. The method includes the formation of geometrical parameters of blanks by cutting, subsequent surface electrocontact hardening and ion-plasma nitriding, moreover, surface electrocontact hardening is performed by a rotating conductive tool in circular sections or along a helical line on the surface of the blank with a feed less than the width of the contact surface of the conductive tool, providing an overlap of hardening zones by 0.1-0.2 mm.
EFFECT: increasing the wear resistance and strength of parts by obtaining a deeper hardened nitride layer, uniform over the surface, and reducing the duration of the nitriding process of steel parts.
