FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention for planting seedlings relates to the technology of creating forest crops with seedlings with a closed root system grown in containers, and can also be used in agriculture. The manual device for forming holes and planting containerized seedlings comprises a hollow tube with a through hole for the seedling, a working body in the form of a hollow truncated cone and an outer U-shaped frame. In the rear part of the U-shaped frame, a platform with a slider placed on it is rigidly installed, in the centre of which a bracket with a pivotally mounted steering wheel is fixed. The hollow tube is mounted on the steering wheel. The working body is mounted on the steering wheel at an angle of 30° to a hollow tube with the possibility of its rotation until installation in a vertical position. In this case, the slider is connected to the frame of the device by means of a return spring.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the design of the device and improves the quality of planting seedlings.
