FIELD: synthesis of protective materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for long-term preservation of metal structures and products made of ferrous metals, for creation of working preservation oils. The method for producing an oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor for processing ferrous metals is characterized by the fact that a mixture of two components is used as a production raw material - oleic fatty acid and triethanolamine at a weight ratio of 68.2% and 31.8%, respectively, while the mixture is mixed, heated and aged at a temperature of 160-170°C with removal of the resulting water vapor.
EFFECT: provision of a method for producing an oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor and to reduce the list of raw materials needed for its production and further storage.
