SUBSTANCE: invention is used to install a short circuit indicator (SCI) on the wire of an overhead power line. The device for attaching the SCI to the wire (1) of the overhead power line, located in the upper part of the housing (2) of the SCI, contains a base (3), a clamping bracket (5) mounted movably on the axle (8), the thrust bracket (9) made in one piece with the base, and the spring (4). The clamping bracket (5) is made with a notch (7) for the wire and a stop (6) on the side surface, which is provided with a blind hole (16). Moreover, a hole (12) is made in the clamping bracket, in which the L-shaped end (14) of the spring is placed. In the base (3), an inclined slot (13) is made, in which the U-shaped end of the spring (15) is placed. The thrust bracket (9) is made with a notch (10) for the wire, and on its side surface there is a protrusion (17) interacting with the spacer rod (11), the second end of which is located in the blind hole (16) of the clamping bracket stop.
EFFECT: simplifying the design of the device and reducing its weight.
