SUBSTANCE: video processing method comprises the steps of determining, in the course of converting between a current video block that is encoded in a combined intra-frame and inter-frame prediction (CIIP) coding mode, video and a data bit stream representation of the current video block, a pair of weight coefficients comprising the first weight coefficient for the first prediction result of the current video block and the second weight coefficient for the second prediction result of the current video block, based on one or more adjacent video blocks relative to the current video block, the first prediction result being generated in the intra-frame prediction mode, and the second prediction result is generated in the inter-frame prediction mode; and determining a prediction result of the current block based on the weighted sum of the first prediction result and the second prediction result.
EFFECT: improvement in the quality of a digital image or video after decompression or decoding.
