FIELD: catalysts.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the use of a bimetallic catalyst on a granular carbon carrier modified with nitrogen and phosphorus for hydrodechlorination of C1-C5 chlorofluoroalkanes in a fixed bed. The degree of conversion of C1-C5 chlorofluoroalkanes is at least about 98%, and the selectivity for the formation of the product is at least about 95%. This bimetallic catalyst on a granular carbon carrier includes a carbon carrier modified with nitrogen and phosphorus, and metal particles deposited on this carbon carrier. Moreover, the metal particles include particles of the elemental substance of the first metal, particles of the elementary substance of the second metal and particles of the bimetallic alloy phase, and the percentage of particles of the bimetallic alloy phase from the metal particles is ≥80% and at least 90% of the particles of the alloy phase have a size from 1 to 20 nm. The first metal is selected from at least one of palladium, platinum or ruthenium at a loading of 0.01-4.0 wt.%, and the second metal is selected from copper, zinc and/or tin at a load of 0.01-10.0 wt.%, whereas the mass ratio of the first metal to the second metal is (0.01-5): 1, and the carbon carrier is a cylindrical particle with a diameter of 0.1-0.5 cm and a length of 0.1-5 cm. Also the invention refers to a method for producing a bimetallic catalyst, a method for producing chlorotrifluoroethylene, and a method for producing 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene.

EFFECT: provision of a bimetallic catalyst on a granular carbon carrier modified with nitrogen and phosphorus, with a high content of phase alloy particles, having high stability and a long service life, as well as a high degree of raw material conversion and high product selectivity when using this catalyst in the hydrochlorination of chlorofluoroalkanes or 2,3-dichloro-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene.
