METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ECTOPIC URETERAL ORIFICE INTO URETHRA IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B1/313 A61B1/307 A61M25/10

Abstract RU 2802199 C1

FIELD: medicine, pediatric urology.

SUBSTANCE: ectopic ureter is reimplanted using a pneumovesicoscopic access, for which a conductor string is inserted into the ectopic ureter during ureteroscopy. A Foley catheter is inserted through the conductor, one 3-mm trocar for optics is installed under cystoscopic control along the midline between the navel and the bowels and two working 3-mm trocars in the inguinal region on the right and left. Under cystoscopic control, a catheter is positioned through the anterior abdominal wall into the bladder cavity under visual control in the projection of the place where the normal orifice of the other ureter is located. The mucosa of the bladder and detrusor is dissected, focusing on the catheter balloon visualized in the lumen of the bladder, the visualized ureter is mobilized as much as possible in the distal direction to the urethra and bandaged, leaving a stump of 0.5 cm, then the proximal mobilization of the ureter is performed. A submucosal tunnel is formed in the transverse direction and an artificial orifice is formed above and lateral to the orifice of the contralateral ureter.

EFFECT: method reduces the invasiveness of surgical intervention, avoids formation of a clinically significant ureteral stump, reduces the risk of neurogenic disorders of the bladder and, as a result, the need for long-term hospitalization and rehabilitation.
