SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for drying spent radioactive ion-exchange resins with ultrahigh frequencies. Proposed device comprises base (1), loading container (2), ball valve (3), dosing unit (4), loading (14) with nozzles (15) and rotor (20), reactor with rectangular waveguide (27), branch pipe (26) and removable insert-shell (28), adapter (35), gates (29, 30) elevator (41), drives (31), reservoir for collection of processed material (42), thermoscope (16), moisture meter (18), a vacuum pump, steam condenser, strain gages weight, generator of electromagnetic field of microwave range (36), wave-guiding ferrite valve (37), current source (40), control post with equipment for controlling and monitoring (37), device is equipped with vertical piston dosing unit (4), consisting of case, rod, piston, inlet valve, valve inlet flange, spring valve inlet, outlet valve, spring of discharge valve drive piston, feed output branch pipe loading chamber with moisture meter, output pipe loading chamber with thermoscope, output pipe reactor (25) with vacuum pump, steam condenser connected with vacuum pump installed inside reactor detachable insert-shell, at least three strain-gauge weight sensors, adapter, lower flange of which has internal circular conical groove, locking system for drive rotor spindle, locking system for gate flap drive system.

EFFECT: higher safety of personnel handling radioactive wastes and microwave energy, optimisation of process control of parameters of process of microwave drying of spent ion-exchange resins, high manufacturability and automation of process of handling radioactive wastes.
