SUBSTANCE: method for blowing gas into a blast furnace includes obtaining recovered gaseous methane from off-gas discharged from the blast furnace and blowing blast-furnace gas and a reducing agent into the blast furnace from a tuyere. In this case, the blast-furnace gas is an oxygen-containing gas, and recovered gaseous methane is used at least as part of the reducing agent. Moreover, the carbon equivalent mass of the recovered gaseous methane, which is blown into the blast furnace as a reducing agent to produce 1 ton of hot metal, is 55 kg/t or more.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions from a blast furnace under stable operation conditions.
