SUBSTANCE: method for blowing gas into a blast furnace includes producing regenerated methane-containing gas using off-gas from the blast furnace and blowing gas and a reducing agent into the blast furnace from a tuyere. In this case, the blast gas is an oxygen-containing gas, wherein regenerated methane-containing gas is used at least as part of the reducing agent, and the oxygen-containing gas and/or the regenerated methane-containing gas is preheated before blowing into the blast furnace from the tuyere. Consumption of circulating carbon atoms in the reducing agent is 55 kg/t or more, and consumption of circulating carbon atoms corresponds to the mass of regenerated methane-containing gas expressed in carbon equivalent, which is blown into a blast furnace as a reducing agent to produce 1 ton of liquid metal. Wherein, the oxygen-containing gas has an oxygen concentration of 80% by volume or more.
EFFECT: reduced carbon dioxide emissions from a blast furnace while maintaining stable operation of the furnace.
