FIELD: furnaces.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pyrometallurgical extraction of non-ferrous metals, such as copper, lead, tin and zinc, from primary and/or secondary raw materials by means of fuming. Furnace for fuming comprises bath furnace and is equipped with at least one plasma burner of indirect action for generation of first hot gases, at least one first submersible injector for injection thereof, at least one second submersible injector, different from said at least one first submersible injector, for injection of additional gas into furnace and at least one source of compressed gas and/or compressor for supply of additional gas in form of compressed gas into said at least one second submersible injector. Furnace also includes an afterburning zone, a cooling zone and a zone for extracting the oxidised form of said at least one evaporated metal or metal compound. Furnace is used for fuming of at least one evaporated metal or metal compound from metallurgical charge selected from copper-smelting slag and copper refining slag, as well as their combinations.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, accelerated fuming and stable operation of furnace.
