FIELD: medicine, orthopedic and therapeutic dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of examination of the strength properties of teeth includes fixing the tooth model in a container, exerting pressure on the surface of the tooth model oriented to the working surface of a press equipped with a pressure measuring device. A natural tooth with a root inlay made of metal alloys, ceramics or zirconium dioxide is used as a tooth model. Opposite the working surface of the press rod, a tooth model with a root tab is installed. By means of plaster of IV strength class, a tooth model with a root tab is fixed in a container made in the form of a cuvette. The tooth model is oriented to the working surface of the press at an angle of up to 90°. Previously, wax is applied to the root of the tooth with a layer of 0.5±0.1 mm, which imitates the ligament of the tooth, and exert pressure on the surface of the tooth model oriented to the working surface of the press, increasing it by 0.1 kg with a period of 30–40 s, until the destruction of the tooth model. A device for examining of the strength properties of teeth is disclosed to implement the method.

EFFECT: determining the strength properties of multi-rooted teeth depending on the type, shape and material of the root inlay.
