FIELD: propylene.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a process for producing propylene and a low sulphur fuel component, comprising the steps of: i) contacting a hydrocarbon-comprising petroleum feedstock with a catalytic conversion catalyst for reaction in a catalytic conversion reactor in the absence of hydrogen under conditions whereby the reaction temperature is 500-560°C, the mass hourly space velocity is 18-40 h-1 or the reaction time is 4-8 seconds, and the mass ratio of catalyst to oil is 5-10, to achieve a degree of conversion of 50-75% to obtain a reaction product comprising propylene; ii) separating the reaction product from step i) to obtain catalytically cracked distillate and propylene, wherein the catalytically cracked distillate has an initial boiling point of at least 200°C, final boiling point not more than 550°C and the hydrogen content is not more than 12.0 wt.%; and iii) providing the catalytic cracking distillate for hydrodesulfurization to produce a hydrogenated low sulphur distillate with a sulphur content of not more than 0.1% by weight; and iv) withdrawing the catalytic cracking distillate and using the withdrawn catalytic cracking distillate as a fuel component for fuel blending.
EFFECT: increased propylene selectivity and propylene yield while producing more fuel components, significant reduction in dry gas and coke yield, better economic and social benefits.
