FIELD: aerosol generating systems.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an inductively heated aerosol generating rod for use in an aerosol generating product. The aerosol generating rod comprises at least one cylindrical core containing at least one of the first aerosol generating substrate and the first flavouring material. The aerosol generating rod further comprises a first elongated current collector adjoining the cylindrical core part on the first side from the side along the longitudinal axis of the aerosol generating rod. The aerosol generating rod also contains a second elongated current collector, from the side adjacent to the cylindrical core part on the second side along the longitudinal axis of the rod, which generates an aerosol, located opposite the first side so that the cylindrical core part is located between the first elongated current collector and the second elongated current collector. In addition, the aerosol generating rod comprises a sleeve-like part located around the core part, the first current collector and the second current collector, while the sleeve contains at least one of the filling material, the second aerosol generating substrate, and the second flavouring material.

EFFECT: invention further relates to a forming device for use in the manufacture of such induction heated aerosol generating rods, the forming device comprising a core forming device, a sleeve forming device, a first second longitudinal guide and a second longitudinal guide.
