SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for manufacturing induction heated aerosol forming rods and a device for implementing the method. The method includes feeding separately the first web of substrate and the second web of substrate into a continuous multi-stage process of forming a rod, which includes at least the first and the following second stage. The method additionally includes feeding a continuous current collector profile into the process of forming the rod so that the current collector profile passes through at least the second stage. In addition, the method includes passing the first and the second webs of substrate separately through the first stage. Thus, the first and the second webs of substrate are separately pre-assembled in the transverse direction relatively to the corresponding direction of transportation of each of webs of substrate through the first stage. The method additionally includes passing the current collector profile and pre-assembled webs of substrate through the second stage. Thus, separately pre-assembled webs of substrate are assembled together in the form of a rod around the current collector profile. A rod forming device contains at least the first stage and the second stage located further along the flow relatively to the first stage. The first stage is made with the possibility of separate pre-assembly of the first and the second webs of substrate, respectively, when each of them passes through the first stage. The second stage is made with the possibility of assembling together pre-assembled webs of substrate in the form of a rod around the current collector profile, when the current collector profile and pre-assembled webs of substrate pass through the second stage.
