FIELD: medicine; manual therapy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as a method of treating patients with pain and movement restrictions in the cervical spine (CS). Procedures for motor manipulations are carried out on the anatomical structures of the CS in the sequence of steps given in the claims. Before performing each manipulation on the CS and before each approach within the framework of the same manipulation, the doctor, using the pads of the first fingers of the hands, performs circular movements point kneading the soft tissues of the neck down the paravertebral lines, descending from the level of the occipital tubercles to the level of the 7th cervical vertebra, kneading is performed for 5 seconds at the level of each cervical vertebra. Manual therapy is carried out with an interval of 1 day (every other day), a course contains 10 procedures. The method allows to eliminate the pain syndrome in the CS faster and easier in the technical aspect with an increase in the volume of painless movements, a reduction in the recovery period of disability in all categories of patients (including patients with increased body weight, as well as with developed muscle mass, for example, athletes).
EFFECT: unlike classical PIR, the patient does not need to tense the muscles in combination with any other action.
